PostgreSQL WAL Bloat Management: Reclaiming Disk Space in 4 Steps

Last year, on a client project, I noticed a sudden spike in disk usage on a PostgreSQL database server. The system was running a critical production ERP, and disk fill rates exceeding 90% were a serious alarm signal. One of the first places I checked, of course, was the pg_wal directory. As I suspec
